Boasting is always a mark of insecurity and yet people boast all too frequently.

Ironically, they think that boasting will diminish insecurity whereas it actually increases it!
When we inflate ourselves through boasting we are sending out the message that who we are is lacking.
We’re not enough.
We’re not good enough, smart enough, attractive enough, successful enough.
We are simply NOT enough.
Boasting does not enhance our position in people’s minds — it diminishes their opinions because people can read a phony a mile away.
Boasting also limits our view of ourselves because lying to inflate our status conveys that our current status is sub-par.
The first step to becoming what you want is to accept where and who you are.
Humility is power.
Humility is love.
