SYNOPSIS
Love keeps no record of wrongs.
Seriously.
A loving person is not a someone who maintains a litany of grievances against those they love.
They let the past go.
A loving person does not keep a list of past mistakes but, rather, lives and loves moment to moment understanding that everyone is growing and doing their best — although we all have a past.
Learn to love others for who they are rather than in spite of how they have fallen short.
That is real love.
Hey Will! I really enjoy your messages, especially this series about Love. This one hit me hard and brought me to tears. It really resonates with me and reminds me of exactly why I have a strained relationship with my parents. They maintain THAT LIST with everyone in their life and like to reference it a lot. I agree 100% that it is loving to let it go and learn to love others for who they are.
Thanks again.
I’m sorry your parents are that way. When we have parents like that it’s a good idea to create our own list. This list, however, contains all the things that are great about us. Just keep remembering you have a very long list of things that are great about you.
