Sometimes experiences happen in our lives that cause us to lose perspective.

During moments of fear, stress, or anxiety our brains will actually shut down and we aren’t able to think clearly.

On a recent scuba diving trip I experienced one of those moments.

I injured myself while diving and I thought that I was in serious trouble.

It turns out, that I had just forgotten something from high school science class. And, when I remembered, everything was OK.

Sometimes the most difficult thing for us to do when we’re worried or upset is to relax.

However, when we are relaxed we are better able to shift perspective and see things more clearly.
